In January 2024, U17 squads from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland will come head to head in this upcoming match event. 
 
Following the U17 Combined Event in March 2023, where the Republic of Ireland came 1st place in the Challenge section and Northern Ireland came 5th place in the Championship section, the two teams will compete for the chance to play in the Championship section for the 2024 U17 competition, taking place in Gibraltar.
